The Office of District Communications
provides positive and effective communications to support the
Brevard County School District in becoming first in student
achievement in the state.

BPS-TV
is an educational access channel operated in partnership by
the School Board of Brevard County Office of District
Communications and WBCC-TV, a PBS affiliate. BPS-TV also
produces local, original programs including televising
School Board meetings, The Superintendent’s Forum with Dr.
Richard DiPatri, and a student produced news program. The channel
broadcasts 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year on the
following channels:
Bright
House Networks digital channel 198,
Adelphia
Cable channel 52, Digital Broadcast channel 30.3
The
Brevard Schools Foundation
is a direct-support, 501 (c)(3)
non-profit organization which matches community
resources with the needs of schools. Support may be in
the form of financial contributions or in-kind gifts of
goods or services.
The Brevard Schools Foundation solicits funds for
Brevard Public Schools through grants and/or private
sources. These grants supplement dollars available
through the school district, providing the means for
classroom teachers to undertake special projects not
supported through existing budgets and programs.
The Brevard Notebook
is published every two weeks as a resource to employees of Brevard
Public Schools.
The Brevard
P.A.R.E.N.T.
is published monthly as a resource to parents of Brevard
Public School students.
The Mark of Excellence
publishes a newspaper about Brevard Public Schools. It is
printed and distributed to parents and the public 10 times a
year.

for public and press access.
